SCIENCE FAIR 2021
This year, Whittier Education Campus will host its first-ever Virtual Science Fair for PreK-Grade 8 students. All student projects will be aligned to Urban Sustainability, as we work as a school towards finding ways in which we can become more conscious in our lives.
Below you will find all materials for the 2021 Science Fair, but if you have any questions please reach out to your childβs Mathematics teacher and/or STEM Coordinator, Mr. Kerel Thompson (kerel.thompson@k12.dc.gov).
SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT WITH YOUR TEACHER BY 11:59PM ON APRIL 4, 2021
Click on your grade level to submit your final Science project with your teacher by April 4, 2021.

Grade 1 - Grade 8 will complete an INDIVIDUAL PROJECT.

EXEMPLAR PROJECT
YOUR PROJECT SHOULD HAVE ALL OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE EXEMPLAR. PLEASE USE THIS WHEN CREATING YOUR OWN PROJECT TO ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE EVERYTHING. Change the background, font size, colors, etc. - MAKE THE TEMPLATE YOUR OWN!
HOW TO COMPLETING YOUR DIGITAL SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT
1) Select approved Science Fair Project Topic/Question.
2) Download Digital Science Fair Template to begin edit and make your own.
NOTE: You can add more slides, change the background, font, etc.
3) Check the Science Fair Weekly Timeline to identify which part of your Science Fair project and template must be completed, and its due date.
4) Complete & submit weekly slides with your Mathematics/Science teacher to receive feedback along the way.
5) Use the Science Fair Grading Rubric and score yourself to see what score the judges/teacher would score you.
NOTE: Once Science Projects are shared with the assigned teachers, students will begin receiving weekly feedback on their slides.
